Arkansas has approximately 125 federal campgrounds offering roughly 5,644 overnight sites across the state. These facilities are managed by three federal agencies: the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (107 campgrounds), the National Park Service (10 campgrounds), and the U.S. Forest Service (8 campgrounds). Most of these campgrounds accept reservations through Recreation.gov, providing visitors with convenient access to camping along reservoirs, national park lands, and national forests throughout Arkansas.

This directory covers federal campgrounds only. State park campgrounds and private facilities such as KOA are not included here. For the most current information on site availability, amenities, and to make reservations, visit Recreation.gov directly. Conditions and offerings at individual campgrounds may change seasonally, so checking the reservation system before your trip is recommended.
