The U.S. Forest Service operates the vast majority with 391 campgrounds, followed by the Bureau of Land Management with 42 sites. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages 11 campgrounds, the National Park Service operates 3, and the Bureau of Reclamation manages 1. These facilities range from remote backcountry areas to developed campgrounds near lakes and rivers throughout the state.

Of Oregon's 448 federal campgrounds, 418 accept advance reservations through Recreation.gov, the official national booking platform. This directory covers federal campgrounds only; state parks and private campground operators are not included here.
